  • Overall experience: Shanghai offers a classic Chinese dining experience in a clean, well-set space. The menu has many traditional dishes, and the presentation makes it feel special. Food: The chilled drunken chicken was smooth and tender, with a nice aroma from the rice wine. The Dong Po Rou was rich and soft, with layers that melted in the mouth. The deep-fried Mandarin fish was the highlight, crispy on the outside, with a tangy and sweet sauce full of texture and flavour. The smoked duck had a deep, savoury taste and was served with soft buns that balanced it nicely. The stir-fried flat glass noodles were packed with flavour and had a good bite, mixed well with scallops and crab meat. Service: The staff were polite and attentive. Food was served on time and dishes were cleared quickly. They made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal. Cost: The food is on the pricier side, but for the quality, taste and generous portions, it was worth it for a special occasion.

  • A good place to enjoy dim sum in the middle of the city. The food, while not perfect, are fresh and enjoyable. However, the fried rice is slightly softer that we’d like and the XLB’s are not the best that we’ve had, especially given the price that we paid. Nonetheless, the fried prawn pastry is perfect and we ordered 3 plates. The service crew are helpful and attentive.

  • Had lots of expectation prior. So far the overall experience is not bad. The best dish is Steam shanghai dumplings which skin is very thin. Full of juice inside the dumplings which meets my expectations The smoked duck is also tender and crispy. I can taste the tea flavored inside. Very outstanding dish which I haven't had it for long time. However, the fish maw ham soup is too thin. I am expecting somehow more collagen texture of it although its taste is favorable. The most disappointed dish is the Spanish meatball which flavor is a little bit over salty for not having the rice together. The cabbage I prefer generous in the sauce with a little bit more liquidity. The one I had didn't fulfill my needs. The noodles is homemade and full of bouncy texture which I love. But still the flavor is too strong for me. I am overwhelmed by saltiness again. Overall above average for the food. Service and environment are great. Will come back if I don't have any chance to head to Shanghai.

  • The restaurant allowed me to order slowly, 2 dishes at a time and I really got to savour every dish. I loved the cod fish, the egg white with crab and scallops that tasted like sharks fin soup, the Xiao long bao and the thin fried kway teow. Worth every dollar! The service befitted a restaurant in a 5 star hotel.
